California - Part 4

At Carmel beach -- it was freezing! We stayed long enough just to take these pictures. Then we drove around and admired the beautiful homes. California - Part 3

Ryanne at the beach in Santa Cruz. She tried really hard to take off that hat, but finally gave in to fashion and function. Ryanne had a great time with her cousins the Holliday and Shafer girls. The girls cheered while the boys played b-ball.

California - Part 2 / Napa Valley and Family Reunion Picture Day -- Gotcha Last!!

We went to California for the Shafer family reunion. We stayed in little cabins amongst the redwoods. Being our first official vacation since our honeymoon, we had a great time. We had a blast hiking, creek walking, going to the beach, riding rollercoasters on the boardwalk, winning grip competitions (that was just Mike), and competing against the family in some friendly (or not) Shafer Olympic events. We even made a trip to Napa Valley with cousins Jonathon and Ryanne and JP and Callie. It was beautiful and we tasted an assortment of Napa's finest (just kidding, Napa's cheapest). Baby Ryanne had such a good time meeting her family and loved all the attention. She especially loved all of her little cousins.
